Well, as most of you guys know, I play swtor on Jedi Covenant, formerly of canderous ordo, formerly of kaas city.
2.0 hit the test server yesterday and I finally got the chance to "test out" some of the new changes after spending 7 hours downloading the blooming thing. This post will only be focusing on some of the operative stuff I was able to test out. I will be updating this with more information as I continue to play around with it, and when they make changes to it.
2.0 Skill Trees Someone has been kind enough to update the skill trees to its 2.0 counterpart.
Initial thoughts:
Character copy was easy to do. It copied my character over with no problem, I just had to rechoose my legacy name. Some legacy stuff Is not working as intended right now.
when you first hit the test server, go to the supplies area of your respected fleet. there you will find a spiffy looking terminal that looks like the slot machines on Nar Shadda. There you will be immediately put to level 55 with all your skills. you will also be given enough credits to buy all the weapons, implants, and half of the new armor so you can mix and match. I ended up having to hit this twice to get a complete set.
I then re skilled my operative. Concealment 2.0 is the spec that I have used and will test out later on today.
Although I did not yet try a warzone, nor do I really want to with it currently in the state of being exploitable with people running around with 250k hp and doing like 17-30k shocks, I will test it out and hope that no one else is exploiting that bug in the system.
New Skills:
First off, I friggen LOVE agents new roll "Exfiltrate" It's low energy cost combined with the changes to our energy regen and alacraty means you can almost spam it. Ghost is still in concealment so you have that + exfiltrate making you slippery than a greased hutt.. *damn you baron deathmark!!!* at 21(talented concealment) energy I was able to basically do 6-7 rolls in a row without noticing my energy reaching that level of "oh crap! oh crap!"
Also, as concealment I noticed when I got our 1 second evasion effect. it seemed to proc more than it's tooltip time. with us action rolling around a lot now, I'm sure we will be the bane of all dot specs.
Here's something that's not really a skill but new per say that isn't mentioned.. YOU CAN CHANGE HOW BIG YOUR DEBUFFS ARE ON A TARGET!!! Got 3 agents in the raid and your trying to figure out what dart is yours? well now you can just have yours be bigger. This will fix a lot of issues I've had when I've goofed around with lethality (which is actually now viable in both aspects)
Final thoughts..(for now):
So far I am happy about the changes. I will be doing more testing and expect a blog post either sometime this evening/ tomorrow once I've had the ability to test out things in the field. I will be testing out concealment and lethality as I do not know medic real well.
