To Boldy Go... Into cardassia!!!!!

In keeping with my theme of Attack wing being both fun, entertaining and my goal to make fun, viable, competitive, not over the top builds AND with the fact that our local store won't be getting in the new dominion battleship that I wanted to use for this months OP5 (Battle For CARDASSIA!) I've come up with not one, but TWO effective yet still fluffy/thematic fleets.

This first one I ended up playing 3 games with the other day and it worked even despite my rash I don't give a fuck about anything attitude. Both lists include the Overpowered Admirals orders available from wizkids as well as both ships having the independent flagship for the dominion. *Free target lock + another ship can make another move*

List 1:
 Ship 1:
Kornak- (because I'm playing dominion)
Dukat
Boheeka
Cloaking device
Tetryon emissions
Dorsal weapons array.

*This is my go to dominion cardassian attack ship. With a well timed cloak and emissions dukat should live past the inital alpha strike to return the favor with boheeka backing his captian up. Also, since the boat moves like a sloth I have the dorsals to shoot at things that get to my tailpipe.*

 Ship 2:
USS Excelsior as the flagship
Picard - Amazing in a can
Engage - extra movement
Dimitri Valtane- because re-rolling 2 attack dice is a lot better IMO than turning all battle stations to hits via spock.
Starter Set Miles O'brian - To disable a key piece of my opponents ship for at least a turn.
Scotty - Because.. He drinks scotch and does what he wants!
Quantom torps.

109/110

I know what your saying.. Wait, why is there a federation ship in your dominion fleet? Well, For one I wanted to use the battleship during this op but because of a delay It wont be in the stores in time. Second, It makes fluff sense for those that have watched season 6 and 7 of DS9. And Lastly, It's very effective in terms of action managment/ survivability/ damage output.

Typical actions include:
dukat Free battlestations
Kornak either a scan or re enabling something/Emissions/Cloaking.

Excelsior
Free action scan, then lets the kornak move again
Free action Target lock
Picards action
Ships action of whatever I haven't done.

Note: Free action using strike force Will vary from time to time.

This is the second Fleet, and a bit more fluffy when it comes to the battle of cardassia.
Fleet 2:
 Ship 1:
Kornak- (because I'm playing dominion)
Dukat
Captured Intelligence -You'll see why in a minute
Boheeka
Cloaking device
Tetryon emissions
Dorsal weapons array.

Ship 2 -Flagship
USS Defiant
Benjamin Sisko
Attack pattern Delta
Attack Pattern Omega
Lojur
Dimitri Valtane
Quantoms
Cloaking Device.

This second fleet (and one I am really starting to like for fluff purposes) Has the same amount of actions, but better survivability.

I lose out of Picard doing his thing, but to be honest in playtest it got to the point that after all these free actions I didn't know what to do. With this second fleet, It's all DAMN THE TORPEDOS FULL STEAM AHEAD!
It's designed to basically ignore the platforms because each ship will roll on average 5 defense dice with some form of a re-roll or extra dice.

I won't get the full benefits of the strike force's added dice because a majority of the game both ships will be cloaked, but after the initial Alpha strike, I plan on making full use of it.

In addition, Whenever the defiant hits an opposing ships hull (like.. all those cloaked ships out there) I get to put a warp core breach on the ship to make my opponent sweat.

Actions are:
Dukat
Free Battlestations
Scan

Sisko
Free movement for the kornak
Free Target lock
Free Strike Force Battle stations/scan
Scan/Battlestations (whatever I didn't chose for the free strike force action)  OR re-enabling everything as I slowly go towards the enemy.

I can't wait to try out this second fleet tho, see how well it will work.. :D
