OP5 Build for number 2??





Well, After getting back from My OP5 event for attack wing, after going 1-2 with a 2 ship KHAN!/dukat fleet, I've decided to try and change it up a bit.. well, considering that I went 1-2 and I really want that Rav Larast I'd have to. I think my problem was that not only was I trying to do too many things at once (a downfall of most of my gaming builds) and gimping myself overall. I think this is my only OP that I'm actually taking serious with my "fleets" as the prize is a dominion ship :)

So I've decided to go back to a 3 Cardi Fleet, as I'm unsure that the battleship will be in by this upcoming sunday. My thinking is, Yes, 3 ships (especially cardi ships) are bad at maneuvering, but that's 3 ships focus firing on a target and hopefully either take it out, or have it drastically hampered. I really loved Khan's ability to be a badass, plus I love the thought of having an 8 skill captain in my fleet, especially when the highest dominion skill is 7.

As you can see I'm still sitting at 2 points with nothing I really want to put on any of the ships. I have to use an Independant flagship on the koranak in order to make Khan legal for united force.

It came down to either the independant klingon, or the romulan one. Considering I'm using tugboats I decided to just say fuck the defense, Lemme just roll attack dice out of my ass.

What this gives me, is Khans ship having 6 attack dice (7 at range 1), The Kraxon with dukat having 5 attack dice at all ranges due to the klingon flagship card adding a dice at range band 2-3 and already having a dice added at rangeband 1, and the cheap Danar ship having 6 attack dice at all times.



Each ship has a way to almost guarantee at least a hit, Khan with Boheeka, Dukat with a breen aid, and Danar with a re-roll.. not guaranteed but helps.


The whole fleet is not very defensive, but it does have the kraxon to help mitigate damage on the other ships as well as being a target on it's own.

Actions:
Danar would be a battle stations
Dukat would be a battle stations*Free* and a scan
Khan would be Scan*free* and battle stations

Khan would fire first, pick a target, and unload on a target (or two if I felt that I could knock out multiple shields and/or hull)
Dukat would then follow up at the target that khan shot(or the weaker of the two if I had split fired) With Danar stealing the thunder by either finishing off a target, or doing some damage on his own to another target to have Khan blow the shit out of the sky next round.

I would honestly love to be able to put another breen aid on the keldon, but There's only one Gor Portas available, and I'm still debating what ship out of the ones I need (another Koranak, Kraxon, Reliant, Defiant, Enterprise,5th Wing) that I want to get because I have the upcoming battleship to purchase.

I'm hoping that this fleet will do better than the one I ran today. I think it will really cut through some of these heavily cloaked and heavily armored ships that are starting to emerge in the area.

when op6 comes around, I'll go back to more "fluffy" lists :D.. although, this honestly is really almost fluffy when you think about it.. I mean 3 cardassian ships, and a "what if Khan woke up and stole a cardassian ship"
