The End of the Dominion war and the future.

So, our store just had the Final event in the dominion war, and I must say, I'm sad that it's ending, but on the plus side.. I own my own Bajoran ship! That's right, I ended up going 2-1 beating the "jank" fleet there, although that was itself a lot of luck and I had a little bit of foreknowledge of it to begin with.

I took something different, yet, I still remained Fluffy. I ran a Fighters/Federation ship/Dominion ship fleet with what will be the last ever outing of admirals orders, which I'm sad that United force is gone, but not sad that strike force which everyone else in the tournament was running.

The reason for the federation ship was 2 fold. One, I fear for the Borg OP event that the dominion faction will not be present in the "who are you fighting for" and I wanted to not feel bad switching to a more federation orientated fleet.

Two. I wanted to remain pure faction and take Miles "Pimp Daddy" O'brien. He's rarely used around here because our local meta is pump a lot of dice and up until today not a lot of people had even known or seen something like Conditional surrender/Weyoun. The reason I wanted to put him into the fleet was not because I knew that I would be seeing that, but because in the last op5 event I missed out on the Rav by an interphase generator and I wanted to have a reliable way to shut something like that off the moment I set up my shots..

I was never in the running for ds9 so I was just playing for basically Story and theme, but I did end up having a good time even tho I decided to build myself a damn parking lot on black friday with all my ships in two games... Yes, I still suck at maneuvering but I don't care.

Walking away the bajoran ship was excellent tho. I already have use for Kira as well as some cards like I am Kohn-Ma, and Tana Los. in a more torpedo oriented federation fleet.


So what's next. Well, We'll be having a "no holds barred, No AO, No Prize ships" tournament here next month to tide us over til the Tholian event, and the Gorn event. Then afterwards, we have the borg.

I haven't decided yet what to play in that one, but my Kira Blockade pew pew torpedo fleet idea will have to wait. I'm hoping that it will be after the release of wave 4 and voyager has some good cards in it.

The dominion will always be my first love and I'll bring them out from time to time, but I'll slowly throw some more into the federation in preparation for the borg, but that doesn't mean that boheeka won't pop up on say the Enterprise D sometime :D
