You Can't See me!
So, In preparation of an upcoming no holds barred tournament, and even tho I expect to see a lot of mines, I've come up with something I find quite hilarious and effective. I call it, the incredible cloaking fleet.
Resource: Flagship Independent (Fed) (10)
Koranak (26)
Gul Dukat (5)
Boheeka (2)
Dorsal Weapons Array (3)
Cloaking Device (4)
Tetryon Emissions (3)
Ship SP: 43
U.S.S. Defiant (24)
Jean-Luc Picard (6)
Flagship (0)
Miles O'Brien (2)
Dmitri Valtane (3)
Hikaru Sulu (3)
Antimatter Mines (5)
Cloaking Device (4)
Ship SP: 47
Total Build SP: 100
Note: I can replace the antimatter mines with photon's if I wanted to but I prefer the mines due to its 4 dice that cuts right through even all these evade shenanigans I'm pulling off as well as not having to rely on target locks if facing a cloaking fleet.
The fleet idea is simple. Turn 1 Everyone cloaks as well as getting battlestations, evades etc. Turn 2, re enable all the cloaks, and then use sensor echo's from the cloaks to get into a position around mines, other ships arcs, etc and then just unload with the alpha strike. From what I can tell if I use the mines they won't drop the defiant out of stealth either.
In terms of defenses, I have 5/8 dice on the koranak and 6/8 dice in the defiant. That's almost romulan like. Damage output is enhances with the koranak shooting 5 dice and the defiant shooting 4 with rerolls. It won't blow a ship out of the water in one go, but it should help
Actions are a plenty as well. Dukat gives either BS or an Evade, Picard does his thing, and the Fed Flagship will give dukat an extra action meaning I can BS/Sensor echo on his movement, and then when picard moves I can scan or evade with dukat depending on if I'm going in for the kill or not.
I don't plan on doing a huge alpha strike but I'm hoping that with maneuvering and proper use of the cloaks I can stick around from all the shenanigans that may or may not arise. I'll probably test this idea out soon :D
